All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take priority.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Dukinfield, drivers must be a minimum of 21 years old, with age restrictions varying by vehicle type. A valid full driving licence, appropriate for the category of vehicle, is required, along with identification and proof of current address. Payment details and a security deposit must also be provided, along with any additional requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be arranged via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Dukinfield office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are usually payable upon vehicle pickup. All charges are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment processors.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Dukinfield, conduct a comprehensive inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the booking type and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional fees.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Your Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for any unlawful activities is strictly prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or engaging in other risky maneuvers. Transporting hazardous materials or substances is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. The vehicle must not be used for purposes it is not intended for. Exceeding specified passenger or weight limits, as well as driving beyond agreed geographical boundaries without prior approval, is not permitted.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Dukinfield will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount you paid for the rental in the prior 12 months. This exclusion does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
